An Intimate Holiday Shop
in the Spirit of Hygge
Open Fri – Sun through December 3rd
Friday: 2pm – 7pm
Saturday: 11am – 7pm
Sunday: 12pm – 5pm
Start crossing holiday gifts off your list with a visit to Wilder, an intimate pop-up set in a reclaimed 1920s roadside gas station in Germantown. Idunn Clothing has invited ten small Hudson Valley businesses who make something very hygge to feature their products at Space9g, a 500 square foot space brimming with holiday décor, baked goods, sheepskins, beeswax candles, ceramics, apothecary, beef tallow soaps, wool yarn, wooden spoons and boards, illustrated cards, indigo textiles, leather bags, wool scarves, silk and velvet clothing, and more. Wilder draws much of its inspiration from the Nordic culture, which is brilliant at bringing coziness, contentment, and connection to the cold, dark winter season. These feelings and states translate to the Danish word “hygge” (“hoo-gah”). Hygge is breakfast with a lit candle and good music, snowed in days baking cookies, intimate dinner parties, gathering around the wood burning stove… you get the idea.
