Reason to rent: Phenomenal Pavilion with outdoor kitchen, hot tub, showers, lounge, fire pit and hammocks, and cozy home with fireplace yearround.
Hidden Meadow Lodge has been designed to be its own vacation destination, featuring a super-cool outdoor Pavilion, that provides a stylish entertainment space separate from the already fabulous four bedroom house.
Flanked by forest, the lengthy driveway terminates at a wide open meadow view, punctuated with a number of perfect, mature trees. The entrance foyer serves as a place to drop your outdoor gear, but also sports an old bar salvaged from a nearby house. The new kitchen has more counter space than you'll likely ever need, and it's very well stocked with utensils and handy items for preparing your holiday feast, or even just a simple breakfast. While there is a full dining room, there is also a built-in breakfast nook by the kitchen, and a cozy corner with two facing sofas for more intimate conversation.
Beyond the dining room, the large living room has comfortable seating by the stone fireplace, and a checkers table beyond. The sofa pulls out to a queen size bed. Downstairs the kids can make a ruckus in the colorful TV/rec room, where there is a turntable and a large selection of records (yes, remember them?).
There are four bedrooms: On the ground floor, off the dining room, this bedroom has a comfortable full size day bed as well as a television. So if you want to keep the kids nearby, but want to set them up with a movie, they can lounge in there. There is a luxurious tiled bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and separate tub on the ground floor, off the kitchen. Upstairs, there is a queen bed, a bedroom with two twins, and a large master. The master has a king size bed, walk-in closet, seating area, and a sliding "barn door" into the shared bathroom, which has a tub/shower.
Heading outdoors, the property is really a fabulous playground. Set on 16 acres, there is an enormous, level meadow for your ultimate frisbee or football games, and there are woods to be explored.
But the piece de resistance is clearly The Pavilion: The owner created a chic, versatile space where guests can gather from spring through October and enjoy the full complement of amenities: The outdoor kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator, gas grill and cupboards filled with all your dining needs means you'll cook out here at least as much as in the house. The beautifully-designed lounge area is as appealing for quiet time flipping through magazines, as for cocktail hour with lively conversation. And the custom fire pit, surrounded by eight Adirondack chairs is without question the go-to place after dark. The hot tub is a yearround feature, and in the non-winter months, a handy two-head shower and bathroom is a handy convenience. For a little competition, there is a regulation size horseshoe pit; harder than you think. And the three hammocks (seriously comfortable) define vacation relaxation.
