The same family continues to travel up to this extraordinary oasis, albeit more conventionally, and has allowed the “Little House”, a cabin on a meadow a short distance from the main house, to be made available for short-term rental. This charming cabin is situated off to the side, but within view of Grey Lodge, and enjoys eye-popping views of meadows, with Slide Mt. rising up just beyond. The Little House is also steps from the headwaters of the Neversink River. If you are strong-of-heart, the chilly swimming hole is a magical place to cool off on a summer’s day. And if you’re a hiker, well, you’re in luck. You can walk across the meadow to a Slide Mountain trailhead (the highest peak in The Catskills). With two bedrooms, one full bathroom and a pull out sofa, this house sleeps four comfortably, with six maximum. It has a generous-sized living room with large stone fireplace, and small but fully-functional kitchen with new range.
